About Project Visibility
This program was created in 2004 in response to the fear expressed by Rainbow Elders (LGBTQ+/50+) that they would need to retreat back in the closet in order to access assisted living or nursing home care. The 2023 version of the documentary features Rainbow Elders who are living and experiencing life in Boulder and surrounding counties in the state of Colorado. They share their stories to make visible the differences that exist within the LGBTQ+ community.
