Mini Piñata Sugar Skull Workshop - Register
Families - Learn how to make a piñata from beginning to end. The Mexican artist Maribel Arredondo will teach you piñata making while she talks about the cultural significance of these fun celebratory objects. You can decorate and take home your very own piñata (candy not included). Families are encouraged to attend together, one piñata per family group. Registration is required; you only need to register one member of your family or group). Hang your piñata at the Library for the month of October to celebrate Day of the Dead.
Aprende a hacer una piñata de principio a fin. La artista mexicana Maribel Arredondo te enseñará a hacer piñatas mientras te habla del significado cultural de estos divertidos objetos de celebración. Podrás decorar y llevarte a casa tu propia piñata ( los dulces no están incluidos). Se anima a las familias a que asistan juntas, una piñata por grupo familiar (inscríbete por debajo de una persona en la familia). Cuelgue su piñata en la biblioteca durante el mes de octubre para celebrar el Día de los Muertos.
