Teen Science Café - "How High-Tech Tattoos Will Shape Our Future" - Register
Teens in grades 9-12 - sign up for the March Teen Science Café with CU Science Discovery, featuring nanotechnology professor Dr. Carson Bruns. We will explore the evolution of tattoos from an ancient form of body art to an emerging form of human augmentation through a combination of presentation, discussion, and hands-on activity with real tattoo machines. Pizza will also be provided!
About the Café
Join us upstairs in the seating area at the North end of the Library near the Makerspace. Every month we'll have a lively discussion covering a topic on the cutting edge of science and culture. Register for any that you would like to attend!

More on this topic...
The transhuman vision of the future is one where technology integrates seamlessly with our bodies to dramatically enhance human capabilities.
Neuralink's brain chips will allow us to communicate telepathically with our devices and one another, while virtual reality becomes so immersive that many of our jobs, sports, and hobbies will move into the metaverse.
One technology that will usher in this new era is surprisingly ancient: the tattoo. By swapping out tattoo pigments for high-tech nanomaterials, it becomes relatively quick and painless to permanently implant tiny sensors and devices in the skin.
