Day of the Child (El Día del Niño) - featuring Basho & Friends and Mariachi Femenil Alma del Folklore
All Ages – join us at the Library for a day of festivities celebrating El día de los niños/El día de los libros (Children's Day/Book Day). Local organizations will be on hand at resource tables, and free books for all are available courtesy of the Friends of Lafayette Library Foundation!
- 11am: performance by Basho & Friends
- 11:45am-1pm: youth and community performances
- 1-2pm: Mariachi Femenil Alma del Folklore (the first and only all-female mariachi group in Denver and Colorado!)

About El día de los niños/El día de los libros
Commonly known as Día, this is a celebration every day of children, families, and reading that culminates yearly on April 30. The celebration emphasizes the importance of literacy for children of all linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
