Art on the Street: See & Respond
On display...public art insired by public art! Every year, Lafayette Arts & Cultural Resources puts out a call for the public to create original 2-D works of art and poetry inspired by any of the 2019 Art on the Street sculptures. In October, you can see all of these fantastic works on display in the North and South Lobby Galleries at the Lafayette Library.
There will be a reception on October 19 from 6-9 pm, with live music, art, a poetry reading, and wonderful community appreciation! Prizes will be awarded for See & Respond! entries and the winners of the 2019 Art on the Street Jean Mellblom Award and People’s Choice Award will be announced. We will serve hearty appetizers & desserts. Wine and beer will be available.
