Geology of Colorado - The Ancient Foundation for our Lives Today

Geology of Colorado - The Ancient Foundation for our Lives Today

Adults and high school students - join us for a Lafayette Open Space presentation featuring University of Colorado Professor Lon Abbott.

Rocks, landforms and Earth's mighty forces are the subjects of exploration, but this talk is also about people. How has the geology of our state affected our lives through all of history as well as today? This program will help you appreciate both the human and natural history of our home!

The opening line for Professor Abbott's CU webpage states that he "fell in love with mountains during his Boulder youth." He brings that love of the mountains - and the rest of Colorado - to bear in this fun and accessible talk on Colorado geology.
