Nature's Ark: Our Endangered Species

Nature's Ark: Our Endangered Species

Adults -  join us for a Lafayette Open Space program featuring Jeff Maugans, a retired Rocky Mountain Park naturalist. In 1973 Congress authorized the Endangered Species Act (ESA) – perhaps the most important piece of environmental legislation ever passed in the United States. Forty-six years later this law has saved over 90 percent of all species that were listed as endangered. To celebrate this milestone, success stories as well as continuing issues and concerns will be discussed during this audio-visual event.
